The home office of CLARUS Corporation is located in Alliance, Nebraska, an oasis in the Sandhills of America’s Heartland.

Box Butte County is located in the middle of Western Nebraska in an area known as the Nebraska Panhandle. We are located approximately five hours by car from Denver, Colorado and three hours from Rapid City, South Dakota.

We are a rural community with a strong agricultural background. Many in our community are still actively involved daily in production agriculture and ranching. The values of the agricultural community — honesty, hard work and integrity — are true of the members of our community. Traditional values are still adhered to and valued in our community.

Alliance is also the home of a major rail repair yard for Burlington Northern — Santa Fe Railroad. Many in the community are employees of the railroad, either at the rail car facility or engaged in operating the trains — making for varied home schedules at times. The railroad is one of the major employers in the community and as such has seen in the past boom and bust times. Over the last few years the employment has been very stable and is expected to remain so for the future.

After the major railroad expansion in the 1970’s, Alliance’s economy has been very stable.
